Man Fatally Stabbed on New York City Subway – Suspect at Large

A 43-year-old man was fatally stabbed on the L train after a dispute late Friday night.

According to police, Tommy Bailey was stabbed in the neck after a disagreement with the suspect.

Bailey was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The suspect is still at large.

ABC New York reported:

A man was fatally stabbed on a train in Brooklyn.

It happened Friday just before 9 p.m. on an L train in East New York.

Police say 43-year-old Tommy Bailey got into a dispute with another man, and that is when the suspect pulled out a sharp object and slashed Bailey across the neck.

The suspect took off running when the train got to the Atlantic Avenue stop.

The victim was pronounced dead at Brookdale Hospital.

Earlier this month a 21-year-old woman visiting New York City from St. Louis, Missouri was raped on a subway platform.

According to police, the attacker approached the female tourist at a bus terminal on 42nd street in Midtown on September 1 at 3 am and offered to help her navigate the subway station.

The attacker rode the subway with the victim to another subway station and led her to the end of a platform in a tunnel where he raped her.

The New York City crime rate has spiked since the pandemic thanks to Democrat policies.

The New York Post reported in August:

Grand larceny was up a whopping 48.3%, from 20,374 to 30,205 incidents, auto theft rose 42%, from 5,589 to 7,939, and robbery jumped 39.8%, from 7,366 to 10,294, over the same period in 2021, the data show.

Rapes increased 10%, from 892 to 989, and felonious assaults were up 19.5%, from 13,086 to 15,640, the statistics show.
